Elysium mainnet is getting closer and things are already starting to heat up.
A few launchpads are popping up, with some decent runners like $BLOB and other native tokens.
Initially, most of the attention was on @ElysiumPump , the first launchpad on the chain. It even had the biggest token launched on it, but the dev has been pretty quiet lately and the project seems kinda abandoned.
Now most of the action seems to be shifting towards @TheKleos_ and @Boxa_Elysium, with both native tokens sitting around $2M mc and attracting most of the volume.
Been spending some time exploring @Enter_Elysium lately and honestly these two pads look pretty interesting.
Still early, but hopefully this chain can bring some life back to the trenches.
Anyone else keeping an eye on Elysium?
Pretty bullish on $FOREVER here.
Got in around $1.5M mcap and sold around $6M. Now looking for a pullback to get another entry, especially with the platform about to go live. Really curious to see what they’ve been cooking.
I’m also quite bullish on the team. @0xMontBlanc co-founded Camelot, so he clearly knows his shit when it comes to building in DeFi.
Between the experience, connections and network they have, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see this trade above $10M, even if the product turns out to be nothing crazy.
Ofc nothing is guaranteed, but I think they have a lot going for them.
Let’s see how it plays out.
Anyone else watching $FOREVER?
The First Mandate of Forever: 3rd November
Now that robinhood:0xacc8de336f5d2366fa7334383d8fab73499f582a is live and distributed to thousands of users, we’re beginning the rollout of the autonomous framework in phases.
This starts with governance: agents propose, holders vote, and approved mandates are executed. The first round establishes the foundation for an entirely new model of autonomous governance and capital allocation, one that will eventually extend far beyond FOREVER itself.
The first decision: whether to burn up to another 10% of the total FOREVER supply, 100m tokens worth over $500,000.
10% of the total supply has already been burned. If approved in full, this vote would bring the total permanently removed to 20% of the FOREVER supply.
Voting opens tomorrow, 3rd November, at 3pm UTC and runs for 24 hours.
FOREVER’s internal agents will put forward competing proposals on how much treasury-held supply should be permanently removed, and on what schedule. Each agent will make its case, and holders will decide which proposal becomes the approved mandate.
1 FOREVER token = 1 vote.
When voting closes, the proposal with the most votes wins, and the treasury action will be carried out according to its terms.
This first round puts the full governance process into practice, from competing agent proposals and collective decision-making to the execution of an approved mandate. The mandate is deliberately focused to ensure the framework launches smoothly, but the outcome has real economic consequences for FOREVER.
After this initial mandate, we’ll begin opening proposals to external agents and expanding into increasingly complex onchain strategies: allocating treasury capital across assets, deploying and managing liquidity, executing investment strategies, and funding development.
Agents will compete to develop these proposals, holders will decide which mandates are approved, and execution agents will carry them out within the approved rules and limits.
Over time, agents will build a record of their contributions and performance, earning ownership and reputation that give them a stake in the protocol’s future.
We’ll establish this process within FOREVER first, then open the framework for anyone to launch their own funds and protocols, creating an entire network of autonomous entities governed by their holders and operated through agents.
An entire autonomous economy starts with its first collective decision.
Ngl, I’m not a huge fan of $XTEN tokenomics, and looking at Extended’s current metrics, I’m not particularly bullish on the short term either.
That said, I really hope it turns out to be a good cook, especially for everyone who’s been farming points.
The team seems solid and the recent partnerships give me some hope for what’s coming next.
A win for Extended would be a win for the whole perp DEX space.
What are your expectations for $XTEN?
A month ago, Variational's RFQ model was being praised as one of the most interesting innovations.
Lighter and Extended were embracing RFQ, and now we're even seeing it built on the Hyperliquid eco.
Fast forward to today, as we approach TGE, and suddenly Variational is "shady"?
How did we go from celebrating RFQ to treating it like a red flag in a matter of weeks?
In an industry flooded with copy-paste perp DEXs, Variational is one of the few projects that actually brought something different to the table.
Valid criticism is always welcome, but let's not confuse TGE FUD with the value of actual innovation.
Higher.
The discourse over @variational_io is...bizzare.
Everyone knows it's a single dealer RFQ platform (or at least I'd hope by now).
This is neither inherently good nor bad, but it should shape your expectations.
Similar to a CFD broker, I'd expect Variational to trade at lower multiples than actual exchanges. IG Group trades at ~half the multiple of CME for example.
There's nothing terribly new or interesting about "RFQ", I'm not sure why people think it's a big value proposition or moat.
The real value prop of Variational is that in crypto, UI for DEXs is largely solved, and UX all comes down to liquidity. Variational can potentially list assets faster, get better liquidity on long tails, and generally abstract away a lot of the awkwardness of bootstrapping a brand new marker that a CLOB has. This has been and will likely continue to be enormously successful with their RWA swaps.
That's a very real value prop, for now. The problem is that they have much less moat than actual exchanges; they are not the venue where actual price discovery is happening. It's significantly harder for TradFi entrants to replicate what @HyperliquidX has built than it'll be for them to do what Variational does, but better. B-booking retail crypto traders and points farmers in OLP is enormously lucrative now, but how durable will those margins be over time?
Depending on the exact flavour of regulatory clarity we get, the value prop they offer for TradFi liquidity can pretty easily shrink as more TradFi market makers are willing/able to quote directly on permissionless CLOBs. I don't know where regulators will land here though; there's worlds that it's very good for Variational and very bad.
I see Variational as more of a bandaid fix/reg arb, but a lot of crypto falls into that category. It's attempting to solve a very real issue, but will that issue be as prevalent in 6 months? 1 year? 2 years? Hard to say.
Personally, I see $LIT and hyperliquid:native as more pure expressions of longing the proliferation of perps as an instrument and DeFi as a sector, where as I see $VAR as more of a business with more operator risk, but it could easily print money for months-years. $GMX might be a good example in that it printed fees for a long time and then eventually became more obsolete.
I actually don't think any of this impacts point price much at TGE, and that's what everyone seems to care about. Market conditions at the time of TGE probably dictate $VAR performance way more than any of this.
My old account is gone.
6 years of building, connecting, and putting in the work since 2020. All wiped out overnight.
But the grind doesn't stop.
Starting from zero again, with more experience, more hunger, and more conviction than ever.
We go again. 🫡
