For my teacher friends cuz I’m curious. Dude in tik tok was saying a kid brought in cupcakes for his birthday. There were a few students who did not get cupcakes cuz they were misbehaving and the teacher got told on saying he was wrong.

A lot of parents disagree with him. And I do see their side, but idk. I agree with him. Why are wanting to award bad behavior because we have this ‘everyone wins’ mentality.

Like I think if he laid the expectation down like hey they didn’t have to bring in cupcakes but they did let’s all have a good day today and be rewarded later.

But I also see like. The parents bought them for everyone.

If I was a parent, I would not want my child receiving anything if they were being bad. I don’t want that rewarded at all.

I’ve been rewatching supernatural and the episode where Mary is brainwashed and dean has to get her out of her head. His whole speech is what I would love to see cxs do with SYY.
In that scene Mary is trying to ignore everything, all her past actions and is in the life she wanted with her two sons.

It’s kind of how I view SYY also. Not just wanting to save her husband but also save the life they all could have had. Happiness, being together. And I think it goes beyond just trying to save CWM at that point. She thinks if she’s successful, they can all live happily together like they were supposed to. It feels like such a strong message. Why she’s willing to go to the extremes for her family. Yes it’s selfish, but she was mourning a life she never got to have.

SYY lost the chance to see her son grow up cuz she was trying to save her husband, his father in the hopes they’d all be together in the end.

She’s not wrong for that, not fully. And I loved dead said he hated her. Actually started to say how he felt towards her, how none of it was easy. How she was supposed to protect them and she left them. And he said it, he hated her and he loved her. Mary is a complicated character and I believe the same for SYY even tho their situations are very different. SYY wants the chance to see her son grow up, with her husband. Instead of looking at the man he already is. It’s hard to move on. To let go. Even cxs hasn’t let go of his parents.

I want the mess and complication that comes with them. Cuz I know despite their flaws he loves them. And it’s not like they are bad parents at heart, their circumstances made them make decisions that had consequences. And I think back to that little Drabble I wrote about SYY looking back at the photo WQ took of cxs. They make me emotional 😭
