Nabil Habashi Salama, an Egyptian Christian was kidnapped and was held hostage and tortured in an attempt to get him to renounce his faith. His son mentioned that while they broke all of his teeth he refused to give up his faith.

June 3rd marks the 17th anniversary of the martyrdom of Fr. Ragheed Ganni, a Chaldean Catholic priest of Mosul, Iraq and 3 sub-deacons: Basman Daud, Wahid Isho, and Ghassan Bidawed.
The martyrs gave their lives to Jesus Christ in front of Holy Spirit Chaldean Catholic Church.
