@shadmbrooks Shad on a full on crusade here! I’m glad we believe in a truly perfectly just and loving Godhead, and my main hope is that that more of these people focus on drawing closer to Christ with their hearts, and not just claiming to profess Him with their lips as we strive to.

Interesting that most of the attempted rebuttals to this are effectively, "YES TRUE CHRISTIANS CONDEMN RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE TO HELL AND ETERNAL TORMENT AND THAT’S A GOOD THING!"
And if you don't believe this you're also going to hell regardless of how much you love Christ or your personal righteousness.

They genuinely believe in a hateful cruel God.

But here is the answer.

Heaven has many mansions and Christ went to prepare a place for God’s children, so that those who lived by a Celestial law would receive a Celestial resurrected body, and those who lived a Terrestrial law, would receive a Terrestrial resurrected body, and Telestial law for Telestial body, one the glory of the sun, the other the glory of the moon, the last the glory of the stars. That God’s Children might be rewarded according to their righteousness, because we will be punished according to our sins this only makes sense and is perfectly just.
Only the worst of the worst, like Satan himself, Cain and Judas, will go to the true hell, called Outer Darkness, and only those saved through Christ will be saved from the punishment for their sins, and be eligible to enter into the highest kingdom in the presence of God.

I’m not talking about being nice, I’m talking about being good. And if you believe hell is full of good and righteous people where they'll be tormented for eternity, your belief is demonic and evil. It justifies being ‘mean’ and cruel and hateful to others merely for believing something different to you. They're going to hell anyway so they deserve it, right?
Anyone who believes this hateful false doctrine is not a true Christian and this is why a restoration of Christ's true Church and teachings was needed.

@darlingstrawbie I think people often fail to realize how much diversity of thought there is among our faith, certainly much more than someone would learn from people who hate us. It doesn’t change our dedication to the core doctrine of salvation through Christ though.

@darlingstrawbie Actually, that isn’t necessarily true. there have been theories about that, and there’s certainly arguments to be made that could have been, but is by no means established doctrine. Either way, it does not change the fact that we believe Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone 💙
