I have been released from Malé Custodial after 11 days of detention (Atholhuvehi 3 days, Dhoonidhoo 8) for exercising my fundamental rights and protesting the release of the detained journalists, @MohamedShahzan and @MrLeevaaan.
I want to thank everyone who called for my freedom, especially @MohamedNasheed, @evattey, members of @MDPSecretariat, Twitter community, and the general public who raised their voice demanding justice.
Thanks to my legal counsel @Imthiyazfahmy, @AbdullaShaairu, @raishan2235 and other attorneys who were appointed and attending to me during this time. Their impeccable representation and perseverance got me through this period.
There aren’t enough words to appreciate how grateful I am for everyone.
I will continue my fight for press freedom and freedom of expression.
Free Shahzan! Free all political detainees!
♥️🇲🇻
@moosaanvar Do you ever get tired of wasting your time on posts like this? You've been trash posting him with passion since I started using this app. Let me understand you, what's burning this passion? Fill me in. All ears.
The day I saw that post on X by Hassan Kurusee was the day I learned for the first time, the team behind the account isn't always truthful or accurate. I never believed until it happened to me. I really thought Hassan Kurusee was the legitimate media and transparency our country never had. They posted this rumor about ADK Nashid the day I posted a video during my parliamentary campaign saying I'll donate 30% of my salary if elected to Majlis to constituents in need. It was gaining traction of common people at the same time opposed by powerful people already holding positions. As a result a deviation was created by manufacturing a rumor that's become a question I face every other day. I've never met him, better yet, even know him. I was still new to all political faces that existed before me. I'm truthful when I say it was the day I found out about him. And trust me, if I had such backing during my election, you will have seen the difference in my campaign haha. I hope that clarifies. I'm true to my values and ethics and it's been guiding me just fine. Alhamdulilah. I never have and never will engage in such affairs to navigate in politics or personal life. My mom made sure she instilled these ethics in me, I love her with all my life and she shall never be put in a place she has to feel disrespected or failed because of me and my actions. Thanks for asking. Sending lots of love.
Hi Shiuna. Don't you agree that blue was always parented by yellow? Let's not pretend blue and yellow are all too different. Same homologous series. Same functional group and similar properties or should I say the same? And in case you forgot, the GM of both parties, after series of negotiations agreed to merge membership upon which we did so. It was a collective decision of both parties' leadership. Are you familiar with the procedures? Im sure I can explain more.
And I'll appreciate if you can stop spreading disinformation saying I was going to PNC. I have never thought of nor engaged in dialogue with anyone to join pnc. I'm not interested in quick gains and instant gratification. I don't feel the need to keep jumping ships in order to reach my destination. No rush Shiuna. My president has always been RN and the whole Maldives can attest to this. But hey, feel free to connect so we can discuss cross party collaborations. Something we need to normalize and initiate, don't you think? Id love that. Hope you have been well. ❤️
From rooms to fields, from plans to real conversations,
last month was about showing up where it matters most.
For youth.
For communities.
For women in politics.
Because participation doesn’t just happen, it’s built.
