⚫️La Fondation Brigitte Bardot annonce avec une immense tristesse, le décès de sa Fondatrice et Présidente, Madame Brigitte Bardot, actrice et chanteuse mondialement reconnue, qui a choisi d’abandonner sa carrière prestigieuse pour dédier sa vie et son énergie à la défense des animaux et à sa Fondation.

En 1962, alors qu’elle n’a que 28 ans, Brigitte Bardot marque les esprits en participant à l’émission emblématique « 5 colonnes à la une » pour exiger l’étourdissement des animaux avant leur abattage, montrant ainsi son engagement précoce.

Véritable précurseur, elle renonce à 39 ans aux feux de la rampe et au monde artistique pour mettre sa notoriété et toute sa détermination au service des animaux et des êtres les plus faibles, comme les personnes âgées.

Elle se rend sur la banquise en 1977 afin de venir en aide aux bébés phoques, acte emblématique de son combat pour la protection des espèces vulnérables.

Sous son impulsion, la Fondation Brigitte Bardot, créée en 1986, devient un acteur majeur de la protection animale en France et dans le Monde entier. Quarante ans après, elle compte plus de 12.000 animaux recueillis dans l’ « Arche de BB », des actions dans 70 pays, 4 refuges, 300 salariés, des centaines de bénévoles et 40.000 donateurs.

En interpellant fréquemment les politiques pour faire avancer les législations, en faisant condamner les auteurs de maltraitances, en réalisant chaque jour des sauvetages, en sensibilisant un large public, la Fondation est à son tour considérée comme une référence mondiale dont Brigitte Bardot a veillé à assurer la pérennité.

La Fondation Brigitte Bardot tient à saluer la mémoire d’une femme exceptionnelle qui a tout donné et tout abandonné pour un monde plus respectueux des animaux. Son héritage demeure vivant à travers les actions et les combats que la Fondation poursuit avec la même passion et la même fidélité à ses idéaux.

Nous adressons nos sincères condoléances à sa famille, à ses proches, à la municipalité de Saint-Tropez et aux Tropéziens, et à tous ceux qui partagent ce combat.

La Fondation continuera, plus que jamais, à porter l’œuvre de Brigitte Bardot.

Raging fires broke out in Türkiye’s western Izmir province on Friday.

The fire, which began on the outskirts of the city, quickly spread to some buildings due to strong winds.
