Trump says Gold Card holders are not going to have to pay taxes on their foreign income while resident in the US ( 2:41 ). How’s he going to get around 7701(b) if he’s giving out a US Green Card with the Gold Card? Unclear….

But… This is even more reason the US should move to residency based taxation for Americans abroad if @POTUS wants a class of US residents not to be taxed on their worldwide income!

Here’s an idea: let’s add the Gold Card resident tax exemption (until citizenship) into the @RepLaHood bill in connection with moving to #RBT for Americans abroad. That would be a great way to put Americans First.

To my representative in R I, @gabeamo, please co-sponsor H.R. 10468, the Residence-Based Taxation for Americans Abroad Act. RI has many Americans who live abroad. This bill will help many of us who are burdened with unfair tax treatment. #enddoubletaxation #taxfairnessnow

@SolomonYue They need to be kept as separate issues. Americans Abroad are doubly and unfairly affected. Many of us are held back due to the limitations the US government places on what we can do from a financial point of view. Those limitations do not apply to US based Americans.
