We’re proud to share that our petition before the Supreme Court of India was recently heard, with Senior Advocate N.S. Nappinai representing Red Dot Foundation. The Court is expected to begin final hearings soon.

For far too long, survivors have been denied equal protection under the law simply because the violence they experienced occurred within marriage. We hope this marks another meaningful step towards recognising that consent, dignity and bodily autonomy belong to every person, regardless of marital status.

Five Muslim Students returning to Jamia area from Jantar Mantar were detained by the police near @jmiu_official and taken to the police station. Social activist Zeba Khan @zeba_kh_an and the reporter Afzal Alam @afzalalamjmi chased the police vehicle and freed all the Students.
Hello @DelhiPolice, Why were they detained, is it a crime to participate in Jantar Mantar protest?

Israel abducted a 20-year-old woman from her home in the occupied West Bank in the middle of the night on June 2.

Her name is Sama Safi.

She is not a combatant.

She is an American-Palestinian university student.

She has now been caged in an Israeli dungeon for 58 days — without charges, without reason.

And yet, the same voices that claim to care about human rights have nothing to say.

No outrage. No headlines. No urgent calls for her freedom.

Because Sama is Palestinian, her story is ignored.

A Muslim man was brutally assaulted by a group of right-wing vigilantes in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, after he was seen with a Hindu woman. The woman was also assaulted assaulted by the right wing goons as she repeatedly tried to shield and save the man from the attackers. Police rescued the couple and took them to the police station. The goons are yet to be identified and arrested despite them giving media statements of the bravery. Let's hope the authorities don't end up taking action against the couple instead of those responsible for the assault.
