@kelon_alex29928@gui_bata814 well no, it’s not a direct threat to harm, but we all know it makes women feel unsafe most of the time. Why would it be so bad to remove catcalling/sexually loaded comments from freedom of speech? It’s clear it creates feelings of danger and not just ‘hurt feelings’
@JohnyBrownx@kelon_alex29928@gui_bata814 i’d say a man twice the size catcalling another man is also a threatening context. Why must we catcall strangers in the first place?
@kelon_alex29928@gui_bata814 it’s not my feelings dude it’s the biological context. it makes (many) women feel unsafe. insulting someone just hurts feelings and i agree with you there, but sexual suggestions from man to woman creates feelings of literally not being physically safe.
@kelon_alex29928@gui_bata814 im not even talking about that im talking about the fact that the biological difference in size and strength genuinely makes it feel very threatening. this isnt about feelings being hurt this is literally about feeling physically safe lol
@p13nsa@dbdoggydogg@gui_bata814 but this isnt really offending someone. this is using your biological differences in size and strength to enforce a direct, sexual suggestion. the context makes it genuinely a threat.
@dbdoggydogg@gui_bata814 i really believe any man who feels the need to make a sexual remark directly to a woman has got bigger problems. genuinely degenerate behavior
@kelon_alex29928@gui_bata814 freedom of speach does not include threats. that’s why catcalling isn’t the same if the genders are reversed. While not a threat of direct harm, it is very threatening to have a gender that is always biologically stronger and faster make a sexual comment directly to you.
