I've just watched the video from Garissa and it left me disturbed.

A family is mourning the killing of Ahmed Sheikh Umar.

In her grief, the sister speaks with anger and uses harsh words.

You can watch it for yourself and make your own conclusions

Also before we rush to condemn her words, we must ask what produced that level of bitterness. If it is true that a routine traffic stop ended in death, and that the incident was then recorded as a traffic accident, then the real issue is not her language. The real issue is injustice and an alleged cover-up.

Grief does not come out polished. Pain speaks before logic.

Nations are not destroyed by emotional outbursts. They are destroyed when citizens feel unheard, targeted, and treated as disposable. Focusing on tone while ignoring truth does not bring peace; it deepens resentment.

To the leadership and all institutions involved: listen carefully. If discrimination, abuse of power, or unequal treatment of the people of Northern Eastern exists, it must end. Unity cannot be demanded. It is earned through fairness, accountability, and equal value of every Kenyan life.

May the soul of Ahmed rest in peace. And may wisdom guide those with authority, because ignoring pain today always creates a bigger crisis tomorrow.
