A viral TikTok creator has lost more than 30,000 followers in just 48 hours—and she says she'd make the same decision all over again 💔🙏
Alex Reads Tarot shocked her audience this week by announcing she was walking away from tarot readings, deleting all of her content, and dedicating her life to her Christian faith.
The creator—who was even name-dropped in a Hayley Williams song last year—had built a massive following before making the life-changing announcement.
In an emotional farewell video, she told followers that "Jesus Christ has saved my life" and revealed she'd spent the past year praying, reflecting, and questioning the path she was on.
She initially told fans the video would be her "final post" and that once the account was gone, she "will not be returning."
But after her announcement exploded across social media—and her follower count dropped by more than 30,000—Alex returned with one more video.
"I didn't think I was gonna make another video," she admitted, explaining that she felt compelled to speak again following the overwhelming response.
The creator has also deleted all of her tarot reading videos, ended her paid readings, and says she's now focused entirely on her relationship with God.
The dramatic decision has divided social media, with some praising her for following her convictions while others were stunned to see one of TikTok's most recognizable tarot creators walk away from everything she built.- CREDIT, The Life
Amish mother arrested after she "gave her son to God".
We are at Atwood Lake in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
The woman in the bodycam footage is Ruth Miller, a 40-year-old mother from an Old Order Amish community in Millersburg. She and her husband, 45-year-old Marcus Miller, had taken their four children on a family camping trip. What no one knew was that both parents were experiencing profound, parallel psychological distress, believing God was directly commanding them to complete "tasks" to prove their faith.
Early Saturday morning, Ruth jumped into the lake, later telling police she believed she could walk on water and that God told her to let a fish swallow her. When she failed, Marcus felt his own faith wasn't strong enough. He walked back to the lake alone to attempt a swim to a distant sandbar to prove his devotion. Tragically, he drowned.
Operating under intense psychotic delusion, Ruth’s actions escalated sharply throughout the morning:
She took her 4-year-old son, Vincen, to the dock and threw him into the water as a sacrifice, believing she was "giving him to God."
She then loaded her three teenage children into a golf cart and drove it at full speed into a stone wall, sending the cart plunging into the lake. Fortunately, the teenagers managed to escape the submerged vehicle physically unharmed.
When first responders arrived to investigate the submerged golf cart, they found Ruth in a frantic, highly detached state. As seen in the bodycam footage, she calmly explained to authorities that her husband was at the bottom of the lake because a giant fish swallowed him, and openly admitted to throwing her toddler into the water. Emergency dive teams immediately searched the area and recovered the bodies of both 4-year-old Vincen and Marcus Miller.
Ruth Miller was immediately hospitalized and later indicted on seven counts, including aggravated murder and child endangerment. The local Amish church quickly issued a statement clarifying that these horrific actions were the result of severe mental illness, not their religious teachings.
After evaluations by three independent psychiatric experts, a judge officially ruled on March 13, 2026, that Ruth Miller was not guilty by reason of insanity. She has been indefinitely committed to a maximum-security mental health facility for treatment.
This is a sad story with a tragic outcome. I feel terrible for the remaining children.

Even Christians temporarily go down this path in a “grass is greener” moment sometimes and realize 2 unnerving truths about the human condition that Christ Himself called out on earth:
1: Earthly means of fulfillment are infinitely deep black holes which lack catharsis AND cost you a piece of yourself by participating in (every action has a spiritual energy expenditure attached to it, of which energy you only have a limited amount attached to the day, and how you spend it, changing you in proximity to the Lord or away from Him)
2: You begin to understand what “hell” feels like. It is a place, it has a shape as any place would. But, simultaneously, detachment from the positively efficacious exposure to the Uncreated Light burns you as well as causes you to mourn what God could have turned you into… if only you would have let Him. It is never too late as long as you are alive on earth, but after that, your only hope is anyone great enough to pray for you long after you’re gone… and people do not remember the dead if it were not for the Church doing it for them.
