But then I remembered how I started to emerge from my conditioning, and how I had to learn to look at fat bodies with joy, and my own body without hate, and I looked at it again and I thought, isn't that a nice photo. Here's to learning to shake off conditioning! #fatliberation

I took this photo without a tripod in my sister's garden, because I wanted to show off my winter outfit with pants. And then I looked at it and flinched because with that perspective my tummy and thighs look crazy big. So I didn't want to post it.

Now, while I'm all for people having the freedom to change their bodies as they wish, it makes me deeply uncomfortable when people self identify with body neutrality but want to lose weight. Am I wrong? Tell me your thoughts!

This outfit is warm (cozy!), it feels so nice on my skin, it doesn't leave me with welts or marks anywhere, and just wearing it makes me happy. So why don't we all demand this from all our clothes?

It's official: I have embraced cozy couture. When my sister took me to church (i.e. Old Navy), she wandered off while I was trying on pants, and returned with this fabulous velvet lounge suit. Friends, I'm in love.

And it made me think a little about the premium we place on being "neat" or dressed in a certain way that might not be comfortable at all, when, in actual fact, why shouldn't our clothes be comfortable?
