The biggest test of your belief in universal human rights is whether you defend them when protecting someone else's rights gives you absolutely nothing in return.
What if all the slaves sent to America had killed their masters?
They would have died, but slavery wouldn't have continued.
I would have rather died than to be subservient for that long.
Racism doesn't require hatred.
One can genuinely believe they aren't racist while still believing that Blacks are inferior lesser humans, that shouldn't have same rights as Whites.
They even had a whole scientific theory to back up their belief.
Same goes for any other "ism".
Foolish talk. There is absolutely nothing that men can do that a woman is not doing already in 2026. But guess what? There is something women do and have always done that men cannot do. But somehow that fact never threatens men's equality to women or rights.
I do not think women realize how much power nature has given them.
You have the sole ability to continue the human race, yet men have somehow made you see that as a weakness.
Imagine if men had that power to create life.....
@iNtronme50 Even 0.001% of sperm is enough as long as there are more women to continue the race.
Biologically, women are indispensable. That indispensability should be a strength and not weakness.
@iNtronme50 If 99.9% of women decide to die today leaving 100% of men alive, the human race will go extinct, but if 99.9% of men decide to die, the human race will still continue.
The continuation of the human race depends 99.9% on women. Preserving the life of women is very sacrosanct.
@Just_JONIER It's some deluded men and women that turned it to hormones.
Court is debating criminal responsibility on the basis of psychosis while social media is debating hormones.
Psychiatrists will put a normal person on mandatory psych hold, then turn around and let a psychotic and suicidal person loose because they didn't "show signs".
A lot of funding needs to go into mental health research.
@Tomi_Tomero The husband testified that she was having thoughts of harming the kids. Why was she not separated from the kids?
They were treating her for PPD cause she gave birth, which I think was a misdiagnosis. She was psychotic and still is. Depression makes you suicidal not murderous.
I'm seeing a combination of moral outrage, gender stereotyping, a misunderstanding of psychiatric illness, and a misunderstanding of a legal question.
The people shouting women are emotional are actually the ones reaching an emotional conclusion.
@TeerachCraft Psychosis and hormones are not the same thing. Plenty people, both men and women have been found Not Criminally Responsible for a capital crime due to insanity. It doesn't mean the person gets to walk and live freely.
This case should not be a man v woman debate.
@Oluwamidunsin This is also my stand on this matter.
How can someone opened their mouth to say they are having thoughts of killing their kids, and she is not immediately placed in a psychiatric ward?
I’ve really had difficulty taking a stand in this Lindsay matter, especially as a physician and a Mother that had postpartum blue sliding into postpartum depression, but after reading the facts you wrote here, I think I tilted more towards Lindsay side…
Rebecca considered her for BIPOLAR and prescribed medication. Bipolar medication are highly regulated; and for it to be prescribed to her, She was treated for it as a DIAGNOSIS.
She told her family she HAD THE THOUGHT OF HARMING THE KIDS. At that point, she is not in the mental state to decide if they should take the kids from her or Not. They should have taken her to the facility immediately and Separate her from the Kids.
Lastly, She was Happy the Morning she did it…that’s Why it’s Called BIPOLAR Disorder with Psychosis…
I’ve also read that she’s not been adhering to medications for a long time, her family and society let that passed…
They failed her and fail those children…
Do I support the Act of killing those children? Definitely NO!!
Do I support the idea of her been released to the public? No too
I think she should be confined to a mental health facility probably for a close watch for a long period of time…
Arguing with a misogynist feels a lot like arguing with a racist… it’s like you think you’re having a disagreement about one issue, then realize you’re actually arguing against an entire worldview that depends on seeing another group of people as inherently beneath them 😭
