Omo, while working hard, also pray for grace.
Because sometimes you can work your ass off and still find yourself in situations you never imagined you'd be in.
I was at a site today with my boss, who's also the senior engineer, when I saw a mason and his server exchanging words.
The mason was a guy in his mid-20s, while the server was an elderly man in his early 50s.
And bro, the whole thing was funny and heartbreaking at the same time 😂
Funny because this elderly man was not backing down. The man was throwing savage shades at this young guy like his life depended on it 😂. I was trying so hard not to laugh.
But then I looked at him properly and it hit me.
This man is old enough to be this guy's father, yet here they were arguing on a construction site.
And I started wondering...
If this man was financially comfortable, if life had worked out differently for him, would he still be here exchanging words with someone young enough to be his son?
That thought has honestly been on my mind since then.
Work hard. Pray for grace. Pray that your efforts actually take you somewhere.
