We want to expound something biblical regarding these two diametrically opposing music artists - Pastor Nathaniel and Kizz Daniel.
Like the previous post, we are using these two as symbols of the two opposing musical worlds contending for your life.
These two have lyrics contained in the Bible. However, one sings you towards the will of God there, and the other sings you towards what God warned against in it.
Let us examine snippets of their lyrics and their biblical references-
Nathaniel Bassey's We Come Before Your Presence
🎶"We come before your presence,
The holy lamb of God.
🎶We lay our crowns before you,
And we bow before your throne."
This profound quartet is directly fashioned from Revelations.
Revelations is the book of the end of times.
It is where the glorified Jesus subdues everything under His feet and His eternal government is established.
The book of Revelation is a book of the kingdom of God—the supremacy, majesty, and power of the Lord Jesus.
Reve. 4:10-11
"The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power."
When Nathaniel Bassey sings from such, the spiritual outcome in your life is that your life and body are yielded to the government of Christ.
Brethren, songs like this lay the cross in your life, at the very center of it. Songs like this make you the son of God.
Now, let us see the converse worldly musical world and the representative we've chosen for it - Kizz Daniel-
Twe Twe by Kizz Daniel ft. Davido
🎶"Twe Twe"
"Twerk your body"
🎶"Give me your bakasi (butt)oh"
"Your body looking like tsunami"
The lines above ask women to twerk their bodies. The objective is the sexual gratification that comes from watching a woman dance sexually.
This is what the Bible calls the lust of the flesh and sinful pleasures. It is condemned in Scripture-
Gala. 5:19
"When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures..."
The second line asks the woman to give him her butt. This, too, is for sex and lust.
The Bible warns against it and condemns to eternal damnation anyone who engages in it:
1 Thess. 4:3-5
"3 God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin.
Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—
not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways."
Do you see that? God wants us away from anything sexual immorality. But this song encourages you to do the exact opposite:
🎶"Plenty omoge don make me miscalculate.
Don make me over dey pay.
Don make me dey misbehave."
The songs say he is mesmerized by the number of women, possible sexual partners, he sees around and that's making him misbehave.
This is an example of giving your body to sin as an instrument of unrighteousness-
Rom. 6:13
"Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness."
The contrast to this is offered by Nathaniel Bassey's song - There's a Place-
🎶"There's a place that I love to dwell
It's the presence of my Father
All the host of heaven gather."
🎶"Worshiping, bowing down before Him
Holy, holy (holy, holy)
Holy, holy (holy, holy)"
Brethren, this is from Revelations again. Nathaniel Bassey insists that you remain in the throne room of God.
What is the result of this? Holiness. That is the character of the throne room. That is the cry of the Seraphim.
This is what these two musical worlds are doing to you. And these artists are their missionaries.
One is bringing you closer to the Lord, the others are taking you away from Him to the flesh and eternal damnation.
Brethren, what would you do now? Will you still keep the songs contending for your soul to death?
Or would you abandon them all, turn to Christ, and listen to melodies from His throne through His ministers?
@diimejii I'm not ready and what if I get accepted and I can't deliver
And MOST IMPORTANTLY, I'm finding it hard to deploy my code so I don't really have any like to show them
But I really want the job.
People ask me why I am particular about learning JavaScript well before moving to frameworks.
JavaScript opens many doors for you. In fact, if gets a lot less tricky from there on. It took me near a year to get comfortable with Javascript, but 3 months to learn React ☺️.
