@HiringLib New especially young staff want to prove themselves and I try to gently point out what I ask for versus what they’re putting on their plate and when they volunteer for stuff that’s not their job.

I had a boss who did that but I didn’t listen and it’s way harder to pull back

@HiringLib One time when asked I laughed and said if they got the job I’d take tips on better balance. Legit first day I joke I wanted notes for that balance.

It’s a fair thing to ask. I’m also really careful with new staff with making them aware when they’re blurring that line
