🚨 Pet Safety Reminder 🚨
Fireworks can cause pets to panic and run away. Keep them indoors, keep them calm, and make sure their ID tags and microchip information are current.
One night of preparation can prevent a lifetime of heartbreak.

Update on Betty, the only person I’ve ever posted a GFM for because I know her so well. She desperately needs our help.
If you can lend a hand, it would be greatly appreciate it. If not, I completely get it. A repost reaches far and wide, and it’s free.

I stand in awe of how terribly @ATT has treated my 88 year old Father-in-law after his wife of 59 years has passed away.
He spent two hours on the phone with them trying to find out the Username his late wife had on the account, only for them to say they could not help. I personally contacted @ATT and they said you have to go to a local store to get help.
Dad and my wife went to one store. Then they said go to another store. After an hour of waiting, that store said he needed to call the customer service number. The same people who said to go to the store.
Stunning. @FCC can YOU get these people to help?)?
🚨 Missing Wheelchair
At the Scotland v Morocco game at @GilletteStadium Mary and John were in section 303 for wheelchair users.
John’s wheelchair was stowed for the game and unfortunately someone removed it from the storage area insisting he needed it for his father.
We can only presume he thought John's wheelchair belonged to the stadium.
If it was you, can you DM us to let us know where exactly you left it so it can be located and returned to John.

@middle_class_us Pkg of 8 hot dogs (Ballpark & Nathan's) @ Shoprite in S. Philly for $6.49. F'ing HOT DOGS!! One of the cheapest thing a person used to be able to afford. Eighty one cents apiece plus the bun and a place to heat it up should be accessible to all.
I'm not done complaining about this. People who abuse animals are sure as fuck okay with abusing humans.
The handlers in the elephant pee video are using bull hooks to control the animal. These are long metal poles with a hook on the end jammed into sensitive areas like armpits in order to control it.
These are so cruel they have been outlawed two states so far (Rhode Island and California).
In fact touching large wild animals and making them do things against their will is against the Association of Zoo & Acquariums accreditation and they require that Zoos be no-contact with their elephants. This means humans and animals are never in physical contact outside of specific medical treatment and an animal can ALWAYS walk away. Even most medical exams are done on animals which have made the choice (likely helped by being bribed with tasty treats like watermelon) to stand for the exam voluntarily, and a fence or grate separates the animal from the veterinarian or keeper.
Good conservationists do not abuse their animals. And good stewards of animals sure as hell don't force them to parade through an insanely dangerous crowded convention halls using bullhooks.
While I'm on this soap box, Houston Zoo is on the list of top worst Zoos for elephants. Dallas Zoo is one of the best and is doing it right. Fort Worth Zoo has recently made much needed improvements.
👉 Please do not normalize this animal abuse no matter what side of the aisle you're on. 👈
And if this torture device doesn't bother you, I'm happy to control your every moment using a giant stick and hook jabbed into your sensitive areas and you can let me know your review of this experience. (sorry Judge O'Hare, in this case this has nothing to do with National Kink Day).
Before you mow, walk the your yard. Cottontails nest right out in the open grass, in a shallow scrape covered with fur and dried grass, exactly where you'd never look. A mower finds it in seconds. A 30-second check saves a litter of baby rabbits.
This is one of hundreds of stories I’ve heard from Michiganders about what can happen when someone simply gets sick in a country where healthcare is not guaranteed.
Pass Medicare for All.
Dan Rather's right. Every story run by CBS and Bari Weiss next fall should have an asterisk superimposed: "This story was approved by Donald Trump." When a fascist authoritarian regime's in charge of what the American people should know, the country has gone full banana republic.
BREAKING: We're suing the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service over their plan to give away 715 acres of a public wildlife refuge to billionaire corporation Space X.
We shouldn't be sacrificing our cherished public lands to subsidize a company owned by the richest man in the world.
