I just can’t find the words. I’m literally sickened by the world we live in. By the country we live in. Every FUCKING day something happens that makes my stomach churn. And today is a new low. I’m praying for everyone involved in the shocking events in #Southport
When a survivor first comes to refuge it is crucial that they feel welcomed & supported. Our DARAs ensure that our adult residents receive as much support as possible, and make sure that their voices are. heard. This includes advocacy in immigration & housing & emotional support.
When experiencing domestic abuse, a member of our team said she had a feeling in her body. She didn't know the terminology for domestic abuse but she could feel it.
We must work together to bring domestic abuse into focus & support those who need it.

You are not alone. You did nothing wrong. You deserve to be heard.
Thank you Emma for your powerful, inspiring words.
