I had the pleasure of joining the Honorable Minister for Innovation, Science, and Technology, @ChiefUcheNnaji, at the inaugural Nigeria Conference on Hydrogen, held earlier today at the State House Banquet Hall. During the event, he delivered a goodwill message, emphasizing the significance of hydrogen in Nigeria's energy future. 

The conference, a landmark event organized by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, was tagged "Building a Hydrogen Economy for Nigeria." It aimed to highlight the potential of hydrogen as a clean and sustainable energy source while exploring its integration into the country’s energy infrastructure.

I am elated by the efforts and innovations aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s energy infrastructure under the Renewed Hope Administration. At the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), we remain resolute in our commitment to resuscitate and reengineer the nation’s energy architecture through sustainable energy solutions. As the country's leading energy parastatal, we are unwavering in our drive to achieve a more resilient and sustainable energy system for Nigeria.

Yesterday, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, hosted Nigeria's first International Hydrogen Conference. The conference, themed "Building a Hydrogen Economy for Nigeria," marks a pivotal moment in the country's journey toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

He was joined by Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, as well as other top government and industry officials. The event was held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.

This conference was made possible through a partnership between the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the Foundation for Sustainable Social Responsibility in Emerging Africa (FOSSREA).
