Continuing its sustained crackdown on drug networks, Punjab Police arrested 111 drug smugglers and recovered 251 grams of heroin, 2,111 intoxicant pills, and ₹2,950 in drug money.

Additionally, 12 individuals were counselled and encouraged to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment.

As part of the War Against Drugs campaign, Fazilka Police organized a special awareness seminar today at Government College, Abohar.

On this occasion, the SP, Abohar, educated college students about the harmful physical, mental, and social effects of drug abuse.

The students were encouraged to stay away from drugs, lead a healthy lifestyle, develop good habits, and actively participate in sports and other constructive activities.

The seminar also encouraged youth to spread awareness against drug abuse and play an active role in building a drug-free society.

Fazilka Police has further strengthened security arrangements across the district under the “Night Domination” programme.

Strict nakabandi, PCR motorcycle patrolling, and border & highway patrolling are being carried out to maintain a close watch on every movement and prevent any suspicious or unlawful activity.
