The last 45 years have been disastrous for Afghanistan, both academically & scientifically
Afghanistan is far behind the rest of the world
We lack qualified doctors, engineers, professors, teachers, &journalists
If Afghans want to move forward, they must all commit to learning

13-year-old Naya Fakih was filming a Snapchat video when Israel started bombing Beirut.
Naya and her mum spoke to me after her video went viral & explained why they are not leaving Lebanon.

This is the children of my country Afghanistan @hrw killed by Pakistan military attack on Kunar province. Pakistan is killing innocent civilians, it has become a second Gaza and these Pakistanis are like Israel @mfa_afghanistan@cnni@mehdirhasan please help us! @IntlCrimCourt
Pakistan “targets terrorists” in Kunar again.
Strange how the only ones hit are civilians.
No Taliban. Just bodies.
Let’s stop pretending this is counterterrorism. This is collective punishment of a people the world keeps choosing to ignore. @hrw@amnesty@SR_Afghanistan@um

Pakistani airstrikes have hit a rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, the Taliban has said.
Taliban officials called the strikes a "crime against humanity". Pakistan rejected the claims, saying it was targeting "military installations".
I am very sad to read on TOLO News that some 400 Afghan civilians have been killed and hundreds injured. My condolences and sympathy for the affected families.
The massacre of Afghan civilians is the result of barbaric Pakistani air attacks on Kabul. The Afghan people are understandably outraged and the Afghan government is withdrawing its offer of negotiations. No doubt, it is also weighing its options for a response and probably also an escalation.
I call on the international community to condemn this vicious attack and provide humanitarian assistance to the victims.
I wish wisdom to the Taliban as they review their policies and make adjustments in light of the relentless attacks committed by the Pakistani establishment.
I can only hope that most decent Pakistanis are disappointed and even angry about the inhumane and reckless decision of their military leadership to kill and maim Afghan civilians in their name. Unfortunately, as developments in Pakistan demonstrate, the military leadership and its puppet government, do not care about their views. Tonight in Kabul, hope was extinguished at a hospital. Young men seeking treatment were murdered in a bombing by the Pakistani military regime. Mothers waited at the gates, calling their sons’ names. On the 28th night of Ramadan, their lives were cut short.
