I can't really be qualified to judge historically, because I did not live through all of that before 1970, and I only understand it intellectually. But in my lifetime, Trudeau and Carney are the worst, for sure, in my own 5+ decades of life experience. And by worst, I mean the most out of touch and uncaring about the daily life and standard of living (materially) of most Canadians.
I agree. It will also cause a collapse of our debt-based monetary system, and negative economic growth. Which is why I think there seems to be a big push to change the monetary system to be completely digital (like CBDCs), so banks and governments can try to manage the shocks they expect to happen. The mass immigration strategy was also I believe an attempt to stave off collapse of existing systems. However, attempts at social control put system preservation as a priority over individual autonomy, way of life and standard of living. I also expect reward plans eventually to emerge to get people having babies again, like in Japan, but it will be too little and too late to save the status quo, I predict.
@Ryandally08 Basically a variation of "People who aren't liberals when they're young, have no heart; people who aren't conservatives once they get older, have no brain."
@WeaponsVault I mean for urban combat, I'd be fine with an M16 (5.56Γ45mm). Generally speaking, since It is versatile for standoff and within buildings, and light.
This tells me they probably know damn well what the result is going to be. And it would kill their industry. If they really believed their products worked, they would welcome the chance to put this to rest once and for all, and finally move on from the doubt and questioning. This is how science actually works; it exposes truth.
We are being exposed to those who want to screw us over. But the solution is to come together and support one another. We have shared values, and good values, and our numbers and impact when we are together as a brotherhood and sisterhood are more than enough to overcome the sociopaths who want to dominate and subjugate the populace for their own selfish gain.
The evidence will be the final arbiter. It is good to be skeptical as long as we don't cling to our beliefs in the face of contrary evidence. That is science. At any rate, it is doubtful they will release anything that will be completely convincing, especially if the story about defence contractors reverse engineering their tech is true. That would be a national defence issue and be kept tightly under wraps
Not only gas. Food and most everything is manufactured, grown and transported using petro energy. Fertilizers, etc. So he wants Canadians poor and unemployed to satisfy his power lust and profit from his "green" crony programs. Right now he is getting away with it because the CBC propaganda machine is blaming all his policy fallout on Trump, and most Canadians are drinking the KoolAid.
@Giovann35084111 I mean it seems like the probability of aliens existing would increase as a function of the number of stars in existence, assuming they would live on planets like we do.
I would indeed. I would also tie them getting into a recovery program if they are addicts, and a support network (like Narcotics Anonymous), for being able to stay on public support until they were clean. And ideally some kind of skills training so they can become gainfully employed or start their own businesses after they recover. They could help offset some of the tax cost by doing public service on the side, which would also help give meaning, purpose and direction. I think a program like that would probably cost less than 12 years of welfare for a person.
