Time is running out for the US to give instant visas on the tarmac to at-risk Afghans, such as interpreters and women's rights advocates, get them on planes out of the country, and sort things out later. That's not optimal, but it's the right thing to do.

Pro-tip: fire camps can be wasteful because they have to offer tons of calories. I like to collect uneaten nonperishables from lunches and drop it off at a donation center or give it to someone in need. Camp lunch stuff tends to keep well which works good for the unhoused.
The vaccine was developed and authorized under a Republican Administration, and it’s been distributed and administered under a Democratic one.
