Homeland Security Task Force disrupts drug trafficking organization for trafficking over one thousand kilograms of Methamphetamine. #FBISanAntonio SAC Daniel Faith said, "It is our priority to make the community safer, and by removing the leader of a prolific drug trafficking organization, we have gotten one step closer to our goal. Along with our law enforcement partners, we have been able to disrupt the distribution of drugs throughout our community. Our thoughts remain with his loved ones as the FBI continues to pursue justice.

Joseph "Troubles" Matos is #wanted for his alleged connection with Carvajal's murder and is believed to have ties to Texas. Matos is believed to be a member of the Milwaukee Kings street gang, a criminal organization whose members and associates have engaged in narcotics trafficking and committed acts of violence, including murder and assault, to acquire and preserve the gang’s perceived territory on the North Side of Chicago.

The FBI recently increased the #reward up to $50,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Matos. Matos should be considered armed and dangerous and members of the public are asked not to approach him directly. Today, the FBI San Antonio Field Office announced the results of OPERATION SPRING CLEANING, a three-month nationwide initiative led by the @FBI to combat gang-related threats and strengthen public safety through an aggressive effort to dismantle criminal networks and remove dangerous weapons from our communities ahead of the summer season.

#FBISanAntonio, and it's Safe Streets Task Forces, comprised of local, state, and federal partners, played a key role in the operation, contributing to nearly 92 arrests and the seizure of approximately 1146 g of methamphetamine, 47.4 g of fentanyl, 38 firearms, silencers, ballistic vests, ballistic helmets, night vision goggles, among other items.

While these enforcement actions mark significant progress, the work continues. Supported by the @USAO_WDTX and the @USAO_SDTX, our complex, long-term investigations remain focused on dismantling entire criminal enterprises as we work in partnership to ensure violent offenders are fully held accountable for threatening the safety of our communities.

Today, the FBI is announcing Operation Riptide, an ongoing, coordinated law enforcement campaign targeting cybercriminal actors and the key services they rely on—their infrastructure, their tools and services, their communications platforms, and their money. Operation Riptide is a collective effort that implements the priorities set out in Executive Order 14390 and the National Cyber Strategy.

In recent weeks, the FBI carried out a broad range of enforcement actions against cyber threat actors, serving search warrants, securing indictments, arresting suspects, and dismantling criminal infrastructure.

This marks the beginning of a focused, sustained 60-day national effort. Cybercrime carries real-world consequences, and the FBI remains committed to disrupting malicious cyber activity and holding cybercriminals accountable.
