#FBIWFO Assistant Director in Charge Darren Cox joined law enforcement and public safety officials today to share an overview of preparations and resources for this year's Independence Day celebrations in Washington, D.C.

"In the lead-up to July 4 and throughout the celebration, FBI intelligence analysts are reviewing and sharing information in real time," Cox said. "We evaluate every tip — every piece of intelligence — and work closely with our partners to respond to and investigate all issues quickly and safely. Our goal is very simple: We want every resident and visitor to enjoy the celebration of America's 250th birthday knowing that thousands of professionals have spent months preparing to keep them safe."
