@UniverseIce Doesn't makes much sense. If someone is having a floating window to multitask and has their privacy display on, but other parts outside it still show, then this defies the purpose of privacy.

Is there the option to choose between hiding only the floating window or hiding all?

@UniverseIce All Samsung needs to do is:
1. Take users OS/software error reports seriously and implement quick fixes + No more stutters allowed + Attention to details to be harmonious.
2. Upgrade hardware to match Chinese OEMs.
3. Honor hardware guarantees and give customer support like Apple

@UniverseIce I'm a Samsung Fold user since 4 years ago. I've been through 2 Fold models & I can never go back to normal phones. However, Ice, I tell you honestly, if @SamsungMobile doesn't include S-Pen, better telephoto camera, & much bigger battery, then I'm not interested in new models.

@theonecid I totally agree, especially since the more the devices are, the worse the optimizations for the growing lineup, especially when they start to age, from both @SamsungMobile and app developers..

@theonecid For me, it was always about having such options. I actually use a mix of both providers on my phone & watch, depending on which gets the job in a better way according to the circumstances.

@theonecid My Samsung Z Fold6, with it's better speakers than the thinner newer model, and S-Pen intact, especially after the OneUI 8.5 update that fixed many of the annoying long term bugs and added even better AI.

@Wvisioncreation Even though I use the main camera more, the 3x telephoto lens is very important to me to frame far shots (3x zoom) & to capture macro shots on my Z Fold6. Even though it's weak I still capture amazing photos with it. Samsung shouldn't abandon it - nothing beats native zoom!

@Ahmed50079435 @tarunvats33 Install Camera Assistant app (by Good Lock Labs), from the Samsung Galaxy Store, then from there you can activate "dual recording" and "single take" again to show up in the camera features.

@UniverseIce If he would just focus on fixing the years long bugs instead of just adding features he would have a chance to compete. I personally am considering switching my whole Samsung ecosystem to Oppo's instead due to their negligence & disrespect for premium products @SamsungMobile

@SumairRajput18 @tarunvats33 True about iPhone being laggy - tried my friend's iPhone 17 Pro & was shocked compared to my Z Fold6. However @SamsungMobile has long-term (years) bugs that they ignore on phones & devices, so I plan to switch my phone (& whole ecosystem) to Oppo Find N6. Try Oppo before iPhone.

@tarunvats33 Tarun I really respect you owning this. If @SamsungMobile could do better with communication and fix long-term bugs (animation stutters, RAM management, updates damaging older devices & wearables, etc.) instead of adding features over a broken foundation then they wouldn't lose.

@daniel_scuteri @jukan05 My point isn’t just the metal. It’s the priority. Samsung spends R&D chasing Apple's trends (like Titanium) while years-old software bugs like stutters, jitters, & silent notification go ignored. Materials are fine, but a flagship frame shouldn’t wrap a broken software experience

@daniel_scuteri @jukan05 When Apple made Titanium a premium status symbol with the iPhone 15 Pro, Samsung rushed to add it to the S24 Ultra. When Apple pivoted back to High-Grade Aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro (citing thermals & thinness), Samsung followed suit with the S26 Ultra keeping price unchanged.

@UniverseIce Of course.. When they don't fix long-term bugs but keep just adding features on a broken foundation, disregard their client's big reports, not upgrade hardware where it matters like their Chinese competition, & just blindly want to copy what Apple does, then what do they expect?!

@UniverseIce Perhaps that's why their smartphones and wearables are being ignored, regardless if they are the most recent flagships or older ones. Annoying unresolved bugs for years, neglect to customers reports by generic answers, nerfing of products by updates, no real upgrades to hardware.

@Wvisioncreation Really well written article with amazing analysis! Truly Samsung should listen. I hope this isn't added to their long-term (many years) bugs list. Loyal users have long patient, but are being snagged away by the competition due to errors that Samsung can easily fix..

@UniverseIce Thanks ICE! I switched from Apple to Samsung 3+ years ago by buying 2 of each of their flagship devices for myself & my wife, including Fold phones, Pro watches, Pro buds, Wireless Charger Trio. I bought again recently. All my bugs reports never got solved for years! Now this?!

@romielyon @theonecid What OP is talking about are the annoying stutters when pulling down the Quick Panel or notifications panel after a little time of inactivity or when switching between portrait and landscape mode. This is a well known bug ever since OneUI8 and has been annoying all users. Shame..
