【习近平访美之际，纽约街头：“习近平下台”对上“中国共产党为人民”】中国国家主席习近平本星期访问美国之际，中国民运团体星期天在纽约法拉盛举行抗议游行，表达对中国人权问题的关注。活动现场也出现支持中国政府的民众，双方一度发生争执。来看美国之音记者许湘筠和久岛的现场直击。

BREAKING: As Xi Jinping attends a state dinner in Washington, Tibetan youth activists are making sure the world cannot look away.

Ten young Tibetans staged a bold demonstration near the White House, with one activist suspended more than 21 feet in the air as they unveiled a banner reading: “Xi Jinping Guilty of Genocide. FREE TIBET.”

While Xi is being welcomed with diplomatic ceremony, thousands of Tibetans, Uyghurs, Hongkongers, Chinese dissidents, and others affected by CCP rule are taking to the streets to send a very different message.

You can roll out the red carpet for Xi, but you cannot erase the voices of people demanding freedom.

Tibet will not be silenced. Human rights cannot be negotiated away for political convenience.
