I feel like the movie rumble should be a cautionary tale on citizens financing stadiums for sports (reminds me of @craigcalcaterra) but of course it doesn't go that way
@WavyBastard@jr_tracy@markherman54@gmtgames I wouldn't bother with offensive action in the CBI. The British don't have a logistical train to advance far into SE Asia. Their air units don't have the range to make full strength strikes. You defend Hanoi and Bangkok. Defensively trading JP ground steps for CW is a bad idea.
@mk20336 I don't use the stands but there's room for a small box to put them in. Otherwise one 12ct standard (15mm) tray from @bgg_magole works for @markherman54 Washington's War. Everything fits, I put the hard mounted board and then rules, player aids.
The end is nigh - the ocean floor is littered with American aircraft carriers but they keep building more. I dropped back too soon and Allied firepower is grinding the Home Islands to dust. Japanese concession on turn 9 with the loss of the last air unit. GMT’s Empire of the Sun
Tarawa 1943: a narrative rich and punishing solitaire wargame from worthington publishing. Somewhat comparable to D-Day at Tarawa though that one is a more detailed simulation. There's room for both in my collection. Thanks to @HistoryTablePod for selling me his copy!
I received this one a while back. I played Chapter one a few days ago. Heritage is interesting but didn't have much of an inventive to use the Half-Elf ability. Overall this version has a few more RPG elements wihout compromising the basic simple gameplay of CtA
@Ardwulf @Clint_Davey1 I did a whole AAR on the campaign game on twitter that I collected and wrote for InsideGMT. Took me about as long as the Normandy Campaign itself. Lol.
