Grace Clinton on who she hugs at City: “Yui and Aoba have been the targets so far. Aoba loves a hug. Yui pretends that she doesn’t want to but she does. Sometimes Bunny. I’m trying to get her to be a hugger. Viv runs away from it.”

If you think the player who is the WSL all time leading assister, only player in WSL history with 50+ g&a, assisted a UWCL winner and known for her still high conversion + experience isn’t a great asset to add to ur team on a free then I can’t take you serious…👍
Keep thinking about Lauren Hemp playing as LB, Niamh Charles more forward and how it worked sooo well.
Then Alex Greenwood prepping Beth Mead for her free kick, giving her enough confidence and guidance for a perfect excursion.
Oh, City will be cooking again next season.
We can confirm that Vivianne Miedema has undergone a successful knee operation.
The Dutch international will now work closely with the Club's medical team over the summer, with a view to return with the squad for pre-season ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Everyone at City is looking forward to seeing Viv back on the pitch and would like to wish her the very best in her recovery. 🩵

can't stop thinking about ashlyn harris... you cheated on your wife who you had the full 2.5 kids and a dog with and blindsided her with a divorce she took like an absolute champ while you proceeded to throw a continuous breakdown across the media because you're now irrelevant
also i know she deserves the time with her family and the rest, like i find mental health so important, but viv we miss you so badly... i've got no clue how we're gonna replace her when she retires from nt. like the amount she creates / space she creates for other is being missed
@mcwfcluvr@oranjevrouwen Whatever the reason, Viv herself has been very professional about it. She said she wasn't selected and respects the decision. Exactly. No disrespect to the others, but Viv covers so many weaknesses. Their first-ever loss in Ireland came in her absence, which says plenty about her
@Mijnstijn@oranjevrouwen I agree she respected the decision publicly. But when one of your best players is in form and you lose to Ireland for the first time, the selection is always going to be scrutinized.
