@SarahSpain The stats do not imply that giving both teams the ball is anymore fair. NFL: the team that wins the coin toss wins 52.7% of the time. College: the team that goes second wins 52.8% of the time. Either way it is about the same chance to win or lose no matter what happens.

@SarahSpain @SpainandFitz @jasonfitz Dodgers vs Padres in SD, there were 4 rain delays, one lasted 1 hr 30 min at about 1:20AM umps called it to be finished next day as the score tied 2-2. We had driven down from LA for my wife, Sarah’s “29th” birthday and had to stick it out. Did not finish the game the next day.
