Beach walks are a favourite morning tradition for our Kaluku orphans. Kaikai never misses an opportunity stretch her legs and usually approaches the sandy riverbank at a sprint. However, she also never misses an opportunity to relax — upon arrival, she quickly settles into a snuggle session with Keeper Joseph!
Rescued as a newborn orphan, Kaikai never knew her mum. We are her family now, and she will have a home with us until she is ready to reclaim her place in the wild — a process that may take upwards of a decade.
By becoming an adopter, you can help us give Kaikai the care and support she needs. Adoptions help fund beach walks like this, snuggles and milk feeds. Adopt Kaikai: https://t.co/kDln4jg4mO
As a nation's demographics go so does the nation.
We allowed the third world into America, now we will become the third world!
Welcome to the Post White America - ENJOY!
WE DID IT! 🎉🐶 Ridglan Farms is shutting down after decades of breeding for animal testing.
Soon, 2000+ beagles will be in loving homes❤️
BFP was honored to help place 568 of these dogs. Thank you to every donor, volunteer, foster, adopter, rescue partner, & activist involved.
Hungry tummies wait for no one — come rain or shine, the routine is the same at our Nairobi Nursery.
Mzinga, Taroha, Arthi, Nyambeni and Pardamat are sure-footed today despite the mud, eyes firmly on the prize: two bottles of milk, fresh greens, and a warm stable to sleep in.
New to our feed? Meet the rest of the herd who will be joining them for bed: https://t.co/CooVpdJj7e
Get ready to fall in love! ❤️
This introduction is six months in the making: Rescued as a days-old orphan, saving this little girl was an uphill battle. She is here today because of the dedication of one of our most gifted Keepers, and her own fierce will to live. We are absolutely enchanted and know you will be, too.
We'll be sharing her story soon. If you can't wait till then, meet this little butterfly-eared baby here: https://t.co/loS0hJV6JZ
Little Daba and Maxwell, sharing a morning hello!
Maxwell is the most popular member of our Nursery herd. Because he is blind – the result of a congenital eye condition – he has a forever home with us and his own spacious boma to lord over. (Black rhinos are solitary by nature and very territorial.)
But with that said, Max has appointed visiting hours. When he hears the elephants mobilising in the morning, he waits by his gate to receive them as they head into the forest. Very often, there is a queue waiting to have their moment with the black rhino. On this particular day, lucky little Daba got the first slot!

Brian Harpole, the actor who pretended to be TPUSA “security” on 9/10 at UVU, served me with papers including a “demand” that I preserve my data, files, text messages, call logs, etc.
The papers also “demanded” my reply within 24 hours, so here’s my reply:
No. Fuck off.
Skip, splash, and snuggle through Bumpy’s first days with us.
This little hippo was rescued by the Kenya Wildlife Service over the weekend, after his mother died — likely defending her baby’s life in a territorial fight. Bumpy remained huddled by her body until help arrived.
Now, Bumpy has a family with us and a wild future ahead. Discover his story: https://t.co/qAEjrv6DMc
This woman went to visit this dog shelter that apparently most people don’t know even exists.
She was fortunate to go right when they were set to have their play time.
Look at all those beautiful dogs who just want a hug. 💔
This shelter gets no visitors and has less than 5 adoptions each month. Less than 5!
Let’s help rescue these dogs and clear their shelter. They are in a rural part of Georgia.
Do you know someone looking for a dog? Anyone in Georgia or close by? Or maybe you are due for an overdue road trip?
This gentleman has a unique pet.
This is his pet possum. They are North America’s only marsupial. They are very misunderstood.
They rarely get rabies, eat tons of insects, may show teeth and hiss but are very shy.
Have you ever seen a pet possum? You have now.
