But Peter Obi rejected an assured VP ticket in PDP and chose to join a mushroom party to contest the 2023 elections alongside established parties like PDP and APC with his money.

He rejected possible ADC VP ticket and joined the NDC a new party to fight Tinubu and Atiku again

The statement reflects:

my gratitude to supporters and stakeholders;
my concerns and disappointments regarding the evolution of the process;
my appreciation to the many foundational aspirants and stakeholders who sacrificed immensely for the project;
my congratulations to the party’s eventual candidate;
and my decision to briefly step back for reflection, family, and the next phase of the journey.
