George and I had a great time chatting about all thing soils and soil sampling @farmers_edge . Here’s the link if you missed it https://t.co/MsXnxPtEk3
This @farmers_edge crop health alert map is showing the areas affected by gopher damage in this field to a T!
These alerts can be sent right to your email and include overall acreage affected on each field. #FEagronomy
Using satellite imagery, we see a major difference in field variance. After some discussion and investigation, the red (pictured) is due to equipment error on the seed drill. This happened on the back portion of the field, which wouldn’t have been caught without imagery! -TM
Out walking a field yesterday using #FarmCommand. Noticed an east/west line in the field. Asked the grower. He couldn't identify it. Then the operator says " I seeded the north side a day later!". Imagery picks up what the naked eye couldn't. @farmers_edge @FE_DigitalAg
Variability exists in all soils, here we can see from above just how variable this specific field is. @FE_EPrairies is zone sampling this field and will provide an in-season #VR Nitrogen prescription, due to this grower dealing with excess moisture in the spring. #VRworks - TI
A snapshot of some of the damage I seen today. The hail swath is pretty accurate to where we can find damage in the field. @farmers_edge making hail scouting more efficient.
