Guys, it’s been three albums and some of you still don’t understand this: ambitious, fame hungry Miley Cyrus isn’t coming back.
Miley has the privacy and peace she spent years longing for. She has very little reason to sacrifice that just to have more fame or a better chart position. We have to accept that the way she makes music and promotes it has changed too.
If it hurts you when people call Miley a flop or point out that she isn’t charting, stop engaging with fandoms that only want to use it as an excuse to attack her. And if you can’t do that without turning every chart into a battle, maybe it’s time to take a break from social media and simply enjoy Miley as an artist.
One day she won’t be making new music anymore, and I genuinely think some of you will regret spending so much time worrying about numbers instead of appreciating what she was giving you. Be grateful for the art an artist is willing to share when they finally feel safe enough to share it.
I was frustrated too. I was VERY frustrated throughout the Endless Summer Vacation era. With Something Beautiful, the frustration was more moderate because it felt like a project that could have been developed so much further. And with Bass Persuades, I’ll probably feel the same way. That’s why I’m not even looking at the charts anymore. I just ignore them because it’s healthier for me.
And please understand that Miley clearly isn’t interested in promoting her music in ways that feel forced or inorganic to her. She isn’t going to put ads in your face every three seconds on social media or in fast food restaurants. She isn’t going to pay influencers to pretend they love her music. No trending actors/actresses or singers used for her music.
That may not be the kind of promotion some fans want, but this is the artist Miley is today. I’d rather enjoy the music she genuinely wants to make than spend every era trying to prove to other fandoms that Miley can still "win"
I’m not processing the fact that we are getting a new Miley album in less than a week and TWO LIVE CONCERTS, we used to pray for times like this and it’s happening NOW
MILEY and fiancé Maxx Morando spotted across Los Angeles last night ahead of her new album, playing the 'Bass Persuades Remixx' and enjoying themselves to jazz music.
Album out in 6 days.
Finally enjoying the hell out of her life, being with a man who makes her happy after a decade of toxic relationships, reconnecting with her family after years of fallout, and making the music she wants after all these years. Now she finally feels free and happy, I'm gonna cry.
