Hi everyone. Here's an event that I'll be presenting at in March 2025. I'll be talking about "AI-Assisted Concordancing: From Search Support to Pattern Profiling" where I'll demonstrate AI models runnning locally in #AntConc (no OpenAI account needed).

"A Message for Humanity"
That's how I would 'rename' Dr. Ockey's plenary for me.
Dr.@GaryOckey gave a heart touching and eloquent plenary speech on Al and (language) assessment at @TSLL_iastate, with "language" and "humane" as the big words in my flawed personal interpretation.
Dear @TSLL_iastate attendees
I apologize, but I still have 90 slides and only 45 minutes. I don't know what else I am cutting from my plenary, but if you all agree we can stay through lunch time there😂.
Great to meet and have some discussions with Laurence @anand labjp d, attend his fascinating talk on “Concordancing with AI”, and other talks and plenaries. AACL 2024 was indeed a great conference. Lots of learning and updates.

Day 5-7 of my US trip has been at #AACL2024. I really enjoyed the plenaries and papers, and especially meeting up with everybody. A big thanks to Kris Kyle for putting it all together. And thanks to everyone who came to my own talk on concordancing with AI.
Part of the experience as a graduate student is to present our research at a conference in our field and learn more from the experts and peers, and meet new friends.
I have got an opportunity to present my research at AACL 2024 at the University of Oregon this year.
