As I get ready to head back to Ireland, it was a great pleasure to meet up with the most influential woman on Capitol Hill, Speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi. Nancy restated her position, There will be no trade deal with Britain if they undermine the Good Friday Agreement.
Bringing the message to Washington that the democratic outcome of the recent Assembly election must be respected, and that Downing Street must stop giving cover to those denying the public the representation and leadership they voted for at Stormont
@HappyFerrret@snb19692 Sadly that's quite possible, but if we end up with a cast iron promise to introduce PR I still might go for it. Wishful thinking probably.
If Boris Johnson manages to limp on for a year or so at least it's likely that he'll be able to finish what he started. Brexit was always doomed to fail. #BrexitHasFailed#sunak#Javid
@snb19692 Personally I have no sympathy with him now. If he was stupid enough to say he would resign if he got a fine, then I hope he does. Good riddance. #Beergate#NoLabourBrexit
@sen_j59 Much as I want to get rid of this godawful government I would only vote tactically if the party I voted for were in favour of Rejoining the EU or at least the Single Market. At the moment that rules out the Labour Party.
"The Government are now silencing dissent,
They're stamping out our right to protest.
This isn't democracy
I feel violated"
Steve Bray has had his loudspeaker confiscated today for the first time in 6 years - his response:
@snb19692 Hilarious really. Looks like you've upset him Steve. Mrs FB and I saw him outside the Red Lion. We wouldn't usually follow @AngelaRayner 's example but we stopped and shouted "Tory Scum" very loudly. #WeWillBeHeard
Sinn Féin today stood in solidarity with the @tftcampaign in opposition to the British Government’s 'Bill of Shame'.
Rallies held in Belfast, London, Dublin and Derry all had the same message:
❌ No Tory amnesty for state forces
⚖️ It's time for truth & justice
