Mostly Good–Moderate AQI due to cleaner southwesterly airflow. Trincomalee recorded the week's highest AQI (163, Unhealthy) on 27 May; all other locations remained Good–Moderate.

Rainfall is expected to decrease across Sri Lanka. Western Plains & Hills may receive 85–115 mm. Winds from the NW/W at 8–15 m/s. May rainfall was nearly 2x the seasonal average.

RSMC Update:
An LPA over the southwest Bay of Bengal may bring heavy rainfall across Sri Lanka, with some areas expected to receive over 100mm. Latest forecasts show a very low chance of intensifying into a cyclonic storm.
