Thanks for having me on this morning @BBCEssex@BenFryer to talk about @NatAstroWeek.
There's a partial solar eclipse in March so I can put my secretary of @NorthEssexAstro and president of @fedastro hats on and talk about astronomy you can do during the day!
Have you received your invite to the @NatAstroWeek planning meeting? It has been sent to all FAS member societies.
Please contact us if you haven't got it.
Correction: The first female FAS president was Pam Spence in 1995.
Current FAS council memories did not go back that far!
We are happy to correct the record.
We proud to announce the election of Clare Lauwerys as its new president, marking a historic moment as she becomes our first female president. Clare has served as FAS VP president for the past 2 years. She is also secretary of @NorthEssexAstro & is a dedicated STEM ambassador.
