My favorite type of relationship dynamics to chat about are romantic, & I’ve got many years of experience in both monogamy (long term, marriage) & non-monogamy (long term, casual dating).
@dxdpsychopath People die, people’s needs & priorities change, people move away, shit just happens! Life is a constant cycle of death & rebirth, & abandonment issues are about struggling to come to terms w/the inherent unpredictability of loving others & being alive. There are no certainties.
It’s such a bummer how abandonment issues become a self perpetuating problem at a certain point, where ppl are constantly challenging their loved ones to not leave w/more & more fucked up behavior, then if people draw a line or just validates their narrative that everyone leaves.
@dxdpsychopath Of course that reassessment will have serious consequences for the person being left, it sucks, but there’s also no solution to abandonment issues that can come from another person because ultimately everyone WILL leave, we are the only people who will be with us forever.
much made the ending happen because I didn’t approach it in a more measured way. But hard to approach something that feels emotionally like you are literally dying in a measured way! Hard to not feel and behave unbalanced under those circumstances!
pulling away, or they did go out of town for days & not tell me which was weird after weeks of constant daily communication. It wasn’t unreasonable of me to be like “what’s happening here.” They did owe me some kind of explanation. But my fears about being abandoned again very
I think about this a lot, especially now that I’m in my 40s. Everyone I love & I have all had other big loves in our lives, so there’s not as much fantasy, but there is a lot more very conscious choice in being together. It wasn’t destiny, it was blind luck, &you get that’s rare.
the concept of “having a person”/fate/soulmates is much less romantic than the truth which is that the foundation for all types of relationships is agency and mutual consent. choosing each other in every season and evolution. the beauty is in *choice.*
@bluberrymary Sometimes you gotta fake it til you make it. Initially maybe he will be overcompensating but as he feels more relaxed I bet he will feel safer actually wilding out
One of my favorite things about my bf is how loud he is when he cums. The like 30 secs before, when he’s cumming, & maybe a minute after he is in full moaning whimpering gasping babygirl mode. I’ve never been w/a dude who just like abandons himself to pleasure like that, it rips.
@Carrinsonn A lot of people are really shy about sex, and many of their early sexual experiences required being quiet bc they’re sneaking, so it can be hard for them to branch out. Lots of ladies will be into it, I promise. A heads up beforehand would probably help too, so they’re ready.
Denmark just passed a law that every person owns a copyright to their own face, voice and body. In the age of AI, this places more legal control in a person's hands, and there are real, large consequences and fines for breaking this law.
@cloudycorpsee You can ask! It might take a shy partner some time to work up to it, but with patience and established trust you can absolutely get there, but the process won’t start if you don’t initiate a conversation about how hot you think it is.
