@raulp012 @NekiasNBA In theory, sure. But if every regular season game and playoff game was more meaningful and all of those games were able to attract more eyes, it could offset a decent chunk of that revenue lost from 1st round games. People smarter than me could capitalize and make more money.

And there’s no pretty much no incentive to tank considering the odds are flattened 1-14 and not significantly higher than 15-22.

Wish they could reduce the number of teams that make the playoffs and even the odds for non-playoff teams.

Eight teams make playoffs. Worst 1-14 teams get a 4.75% chance at No. 1 pick. Next 8 teams get 4.2%.

No true incentive to tank and regular season finally matters again.

Cut the number of playoff teams in half and teams can’t afford to rest players as much throughout the regular season. Makes the season much more meaningful, helping the NBA to recover a lot of $ they’d lose from cutting a round of playoff games.

Plus, playoffs won’t drag on.

1. Most people who say ND shouldn’t be in also said they shouldn’t have made it last year. They were wrong last year.

2. Having people vote on a playoff is, always has been, and always will be insanely stupid. There’s no need for this at all.
