When the youths in the community took to the streets to protest this grave injustice, the Nigerian security apparatus opened fire, shooting at innocent citizens who were simply seeking justice for the massacre of their loved ones.

The BBC is merely protecting the Nigerian government here by deliberately softening the magnitude of these gross human rights violations.
