When we launched the betting dApp, our goal was simple: build real utility, burn supply, and help $World Cup grow over the long term.

We shipped it. The burns worked. The product worked. But we have to be honest with our community about what we've seen since launch:

The daily win/lose cycle turned $World Cup into a short-term gamble. Winners cash out and sell. The burn is real but the sell pressure from payouts is cancelling out the growth we built this for.

That's not what we set out to build. $World Cup was never meant to be a casino chip. It was meant to be a long-term ecosystem token millions of football fans can hold and benefit from.

So today we're making a hard call:

🛑 The betting dApp is PAUSED, effective immediately.

We'd rather admit a mistake early than let it quietly damage the project. Real builders course-correct.

🚀 What's coming:

We're a tight in-house team 3 blockchain engineers building full-time. We're already developing a new utility that delivers the same burn engine, without turning $World Cup into a daily gamble and without burning users' money in the process.
