🏆 1. About OWCS Clash Hangzhou

Even going into our first match against NTMR, I had a bad feeling. Their DPS played really well, but honestly, we underperformed way more than they outplayed us. We made basic communication mistakes.

After the match, I was so angry that I had to think about how to give feedback without blowing up. I just spoke quickly and left the room—if I stayed, I would’ve lost my temper.

I actually got even angrier after the VP match—even though we won. It was because I realized we hadn't done everything we could have.

During the Grand Finals, LIP said I wasn’t at 100% and that Kong should go up to the stage instead.
I seriously wanted to smack him, but I held back and sent Kong up instead. Looking back, it worked out well.

The reason Shu and CH0R0NG swapped between Juno and Brig was because, in this meta, it avoids awkward hero overlaps. Still, the results were disappointing—I think Shu’s lack of Brigitte experience showed.

I took the CR players to a restaurant we used to frequent back in my SHD days. They loved it. (MAX is the biggest eater on the team.)

Back when we won the Grand Finals with SHD, we couldn’t have a fan meeting because of COVID. This time, I finally got to meet many of those fans in person. It was a really special moment.

Regarding the match delays and refereeing issues in the Grand Finals:
CR and TFC fans, please don't fight about it.

🦝 2. About Crazy Raccoon Players

We’ll find a replacement for LIP when the time comes. Since he can still play for about six months in 2026, I’m still considering the options—there are no concrete plans yet. Same goes for Shu.

At the Hangzhou Clash afterparty, Lethal came up to me and said he heard LIP would be going into military service next year. He said he had the confidence to step up and fill the role. He also said he could speak some Korean, so I tested him… hmm. But I really liked his confidence. Anyway, since there aren’t many other applicants right now, he’s currently our top priority.

(When someone said in chat that I can’t scold LIP) Actually, the player who’s gotten scolded the most by me is LIP. Even recently, he gets chewed out for waking up late.

About a month ago, HeeSang started practicing constantly—even during his breaks and before bed. He was grinding Competitive all day long. I even had to tell him to stop sometimes. I think that hard work really paid off at this tournament.

At the OWCS opening match, CH0R0NG was super nervous. I made a big effort to help him relax and settle in.

💭 3. Thoughts on Other Players & Coaches

If we're talking strictly OWL, Fearless is the GOAT. (I’m excluding LIP since he’s still active.)
The toughest opponent I’ve ever faced was Profit. Lately, it’s been Proper and Stalk3r.

As for the biggest salary I’ve ever heard of in the scene: Over 10 million KRW per month (about $7,000).
(And no, it wasn’t me.)

🪖 4. LA Valiant era

Winning my first title with Valiant was unforgettable. I still remember exactly how that felt.

As for why we went winless in Stage 1 of the 2019 OWL season... honestly, it was because of political conflicts between the Korean and non-Korean players (though everything’s been resolved now). That’s even where the infamous KuKi Lucio incident came from.
(For the record, KuKi is doing great now, raising his son.)

🐉 5. Shanghai Dragons era

There’s a reason why Stand1 played Roadhog instead of Fearless during the 2020 OWL playoffs, but to protect the players, I won’t go into detail. Stand1 is now working as a chef at a Japanese restaurant.

In 2021 OWL, when everyone else was running Winston, we played Wrecking Ball. Why? Simple: Fate wasn’t confident on Winston.

I still remember one time when Fate played poorly, lost, and just lay down by himself in a corner, beating himself up about it. Coach Dongsu followed him around, giving nonstop feedback right into his ear. He looked like a demon.

Fate and LeeJaeGon are currently doing their military service. I recently drank with Fate and he stayed over at my place. I woke him up with a Korean military bugle call—the kind they blast loudly to wake up soldiers every morning.

Izayaki is retired and now just enjoying life in Chengdu.

(About our rivalry with Seoul Dynasty)
Matches against Seoul were always tough but fun—and in the end, we did win more of them.

🏟️ 6. On Overwatch Tournaments and the Current Meta

The hardest metas to master were GOATS and the Ball––Sombra–Tracer–Brig–Zen comps. The level of coordination and execution needed was on another level.

One of the most creative strats we came up with was pulling out Roadhog against TFC at the 2024 OWCS Major. I still think it was a really unique and smart idea.

I haven’t had a chance to scrim with Freja yet, so I don’t know much about her.

There are rumors that T1 is the strongest team in scrims. I don't know about that. We're the strongest.

I wish there were more meaningful rewards for winning the regular season before playoffs. As it stands, it doesn’t feel like it really matters much.

Also, it would be great if they expanded the number of international tournament teams to 16.

🗣️ 7. On Coaching and Random Chat Topics

Building a good team culture requires lots of communication and conversation.

When scouting rookies, I look for young players who stand out in scrims, then evaluate both their skills and character before approaching them. Once they're on the team, I work hard to create the right environment based on their needs. (For example, for LIP, a tough-love, push-harder environment was the right fit.)

I’ve also done a ton of relationship counseling for players. My advice? Focus on dating after retirement.

I’m coaching Apex Legends alongside CR because our interests aligned.

In Competitive, I usually ban Ana, Sombra, and Zarya.

If CR ever gets partner team skins, the first one I’d buy would be a Cassidy skin.
