When you work AT non-profits but for-profit contractors get in the way (ps. Did you know most allied health are contractors often with higher loans, lower pay, and get much less benefits than nurses?) @usedgov
@FAFSA@pc56 The problem is government / hospitals hires non-nursing healthcare workers as CONTRACTORs only, effectively less pay, less benefits and no loan help
Dang @Stephania_ESPN Riveted! Great story, great “perspective”! Thank you for telling it so well! A fan, of yours, Alex Smith, and now Dr. West, and Elizabeth Smith!
Incredibly shocked and disappointed at result due to lack of foresight! So bad for society! Clinics already can’t afford seeing Medicare patients who need PT! Lack of care = CO$TLY falls = more healthcare waste. @SeemaCMS@CMSGov
APTA is extremely disappointed that the physician fee schedule final rule will cut physical therapist payment in 2021, with no rationale or response from CMS to thousands of letters opposing the cuts. These cuts are a dire threat to patient access and safe alternatives to pain.
@feilikescoffee@CMSGov @APTAtweets @SeemaCMS@CMSgovPress@MedicareGov@CDCgov Reduced reimbursement = increased # patients to be seen per hr or clinics to not accept Medicare. All resulting in less quality or no care. Not fair for Medicare patients! Also debilitating cost for society!
@CMSGov to ⬇️8% physical therapy (PT) reimbursement = bad for society! It will ⬇️quality care ⬆️cost from fall injuries and deaths!
