@hankgreen I have just graduated college and become a registered radiation therapist. (The people that actually deliver radiation treatments for cancer) If you don’t have anyone to talk to about radiation I would be more than happy to! Best of luck to you Hank!
Wednesday is debate night! It will stream on News 9's website and NonDoc's Facebook page, and will air on CSPAN. Want a locally televised debate? We did too! Stitt declined all debates on locally broadcast TV --- a platform that would be most accessible to Oklahomans.
IMRT is can be used on almost all cancers, but it is typically not preferred for soft tissue treatments such as breast cancer or sarcomas. The side effects will be the same as 3D CRT, but are typically less severe since the technique spares more healthy tissue.
There are 2 main treatment techniques used in radiation therapy today: 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy. IMRT is the standard of care today but there are still cases where 3D CRT is used. I'll break down these two techniques in a thread:
The goal of IMRT is the same of 3D CRT, but IMRT capable of delivering a higher dose while avoiding more healthy tissue. This is because IMRT utilizes complex beam shaping that is able to modulate the intensity of the radiation beam at each angle.
Hi Twitter,
I need your help; with graduation rapidly approaching, I’m looking to enter an internship with a news studio or weather center in or around the Oklahoma City area. It’s time for me to partner with a mentor who can show me the ropes, so I can reach my full potential.
the other morning I thought I was witnessing a nice sunrise through my window but turns out it was just the soft glow of the nearby slim chickens sign in the morning fog
