The fact that Daou and Offroad have both come out to apologise without using excuses like “it’s just a joke” or “you’re being too sensitive” or hiding behind the fact that they didn’t have bad intentions, and instead have acknowledged their mistakes, taken responsibility and accountability for the unintended impact of their actions, makes me extremely proud of them and makes me so certain that they’re truly learning about how to be good allies.

Intention =/= Impact

And I love that they can acknowledge their intention while not ignoring the impact, and without once diminishing those feelings of discomfort and hurt.

They’re not perfect, but they’re doing a damn good job of trying to learn to be better.

I want to sincerely apologize for the scene in the clip where I was dressed as Nanno from Girl From Nowhere.
The idea came from the character’s iconic behavior in the series, and I continued the bit when I surprised Offroad, who plays “Pek.” However, I now understand that the action in that moment made some people "especially women feel uncomfortable".
I want to make it clear that I never had the intention to mock or make fun of harassment or any sensitive issue. That was never my mindset when doing the scene.
Looking back, I realize it was inappropriate and not something that should be treated lightly. I respect everyone regardless of gender, and I truly regret that my actions caused discomfort.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up and shared their feelings. I hear you, and I will be more careful and thoughtful in the future.
I truly regret what happened and I will learn from this.
