@MicahPW20 I totally get the frustration—seeing your cost basis jump by $250 per coin out of nowhere feels like you just lost money on paper for no reason.
The short answer: No, your actual cost basis hasn't changed, but Coinbase’s display of it has.

To earn XRP on Uphold, you primarily use the platform's spending and deposit rewards programs rather than traditional staking. While other cryptocurrencies (like Ethereum or Solana) use "staking" to earn rewards, XRP uses a different consensus ledger that doesn't support traditional Proof-of-Stake rewards.

It definitely would be! While XRP isn't a Proof-of-Stake token that can be "staked" in the traditional sense, Uphold recently integrated with the Exactly Protocol, allowing you to earn variable yield on your crypto. This is currently the most direct way to earn a yield on the value of your XRP holdings.

@KClutter24 As of right now, Uphold has not officially enabled native staking for ZBCN the new Zebec Network token. While they listed the token back in mid-2025 and have run several high-profile promotions (like the 6% payroll rewards and the XRP holder airdrop, it hasn't quite hit the Stakeable Assets list yet.

@JrCalaway Since Uphold currently limits network transfers for VET, you are essentially stuck "holding" without earning the VTHO (VeThor) rewards that are the backbone of the VeChain ecosystem. Uphold won't let you withdraw VET directly to the VeChainThor network, most users use this "bridge" method
