@tommy_crimes It’s very complicated, many things you can try such as teams being allowed to spend X amount of the club with the most revenue. The issue under the current rules teams are too big to fail and it’s impossible to enter the bracket
@tommy_crimes That is not what I said at all. The rules should be written in a way performance on the pitch is really important. Sucks when a small team has a good season to get ripped apart and equally sucks when United have a bad season and can just spend £250m
@kingruss_uk@Joel_H5 They fail on the pitch and spend 250 million pounds and it’s like nothing happened the next season. Other clubs recruit badly and they have to live with their decisions a lot more
@tommy_crimes “The incentive” is the fact it’s impossible to break into the big 6 under current regulations🤣. Realistically there should be some sort of investment or risk taken by them under a safety net
@kingruss_uk@Joel_H5 They aren’t going to be perfect forever and they will feel it. Man United has been badly ran for 16 years but they are too big to fail
@YFlynnly@Joel_H5 It doesn’t necessarily have to be unchecked owner spend though, it could be a percentage of the highest revenue. It’s a bit shit when small teams have a good season and they have to sell but United have been badly ran but they too big to fail
@Shamsdale@SimonRowntreeFE It’s obviously very different but it’s really cool how in the nba if you are poorly run you feel it and if you are well ran you can see yourself winning the title. Obviously drastic differences in the sport but there’s kind general idea is there
@Shamsdale@SimonRowntreeFE People want a way for clubs to move into different brackets. The method to get to that is debatable whether that’s clubs being allowed to spend 75% of the top teams revenue, or what you can spend is dictated by league position. The best ran clubs will still win
@Shamsdale@SimonRowntreeFE Why are you against the system being criticised? If it wasn’t criticised Chelsea, City and Newcastle now would just be spending unchecked money and no one could compete🤣. I get it you support Arsenal but it’s not a dig at your team
@Shamsdale@SimonRowntreeFE Do you believe any of the biggest clubs in England, Spain, Germany or Paris are going to be the biggest clubs in 30 years. If the answer is yes there’s a problem with the system
@SimonRowntreeFE@Shamsdale It’s so obvious there’s an issue because Man United have been poorly run for 15 years but as the rules are constructed they are too big to fail
@ZeddFaux@_yxan14 Yes but this isn’t a court case. It would be much better for everif they kept everything under wraps and only came out without everything once the process was done
@propcharles@Shamsdale When Villa make top 4 I want to see them be able to keep their players and try build. Leicester won the league and are now in league 1 because bad management costs them. United have been badly ran since Fergie but they too big fail, no one wants to see that
@propcharles@Shamsdale You are strawmanning the argument. Small clubs face way bigger repercussions for bad investments and etc. None of the big clubs will fall out of that bracket and no club will enter it. That’s why people have an issue. It’s bad for rich clubs to be too big to fail
