Ahead of Saturday’s annual Family Day in Coney Island, President John V. Chiarello stopped at 207th St. Overhaul shop to rally up members there about our contract fight.

Chiarello spoke to the affordability crisis facing workers in today’s economy, and the MTA’s tone-deaf demands for heavy concessions. He said Local 100 is holding the line for a fair and equitable contract and will not back down.

Joining the President today was Financial Secretary-Treasurer Carlos Bernabel, CED Vice President Matt Ahern, Division Chair Robert Ruiz, Section Chair Adam Brown— and a strong contingent of members who are ready for the fight!

A federal judge dismissed a Brightline railroad lawsuit that, if successful, would have invalidated workers' successful vote to unionize.
“This is a huge victory for the workers and the TWU,” @TwuSamuelsen said. “Brightline should finally realize it has reached the end of the line. The railroad’s multi-year attempt to silence its workers and deny them the right to negotiate for fair wages and benefits, has been nothing short of shameful."
