thank you so much for this opportunity @Romer. if i were chosen, the $5,000 would go straight to my mom's surgery and medical expenses.

earlier this year, i lost my dad. before he passed away, he spent months going through dialysis because of his kidney problems. he later had surgery for his kidney stones, and it was successful. we really thought he was getting better because we can see small improvements but on january 12, 2026, we lost him. ever since then, i've been scared whenever someone i love has to go to the hospital.

now my mom needs surgery because of her gallstones, and it will happen this month or next month. to be honest, i'm scared. i still haven't fully recovered from losing my dad, and the thought of my mom going through an operation brings back so many fears.

still, i'm choosing to put my trust in God. i'm praying for a successful surgery and for my mom to recover well. she always put our family first, even when things were difficult. i want to graduate, find a good job, and finally give her a life where she doesn't have to carry every burden alone.

receiving this $5,000 would take a huge weight off our shoulders. it would help cover my mom's hospital bills, medicines, and other expenses, so instead of worrying about money, we can focus on her recovery.
